Newest Goodwill retail training store opens along Walton Way Thursday
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – There’s a new place to thrift shop will helping those in need.
Thursday, a Goodwill Retail Training Center opened on the corner of 15th Street and Walton Way.
It boasts a more than 6,700 square-foot retail showroom.
86-cents of every dollar spent at Goodwill funds training, education, career counseling and employment assistance for those in our area
“We were able to hire 20 people from the community that were unemployed give them jobs
We give great benefits to our employees and so we are hoping to create new economic
Energy in this community and this medical district,” said Jim Schiff, President of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the Central Savannah River Area
The store is open for donations and shopping Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
And Sunday, 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
