The third - and reportedly last - theatrical trailer we’ll see for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ before its December release is coming on Monday, 19 October according to a flurry of recent reports.

Polygon (via the Metro) says US cinema chain Cinemark let slip that the new full-length trailer, that’s rumoured to feature our first look at Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, will arrive on Monday when tickets for ‘The Force Awakens’ go on sale.

It’s also likely to be play before ‘SPECTRE’ when the next James Bond film hits cinemas the following week on 26 October.

This will be the first new footage we’ve seen from the anticipated sequel since a 15-second teaser dropped on Instagram back in August.

A trailer description on Reddit (read it here in full at your own peril) suggests the new trailer will feature new footage of John Boyega’s Finn wielding a lightsaber, Han Solo and Chewbacca at the controls of the Millennium Falcon, Kylo Ren unmasked, and space battles. And, most excitingly, it finishes with a close up of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker igniting his iconic green lightsaber.

You can take all of this with a massive pinch of salt but, either way, we can’t wait to see what JJ Abrams has in store for us.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is coming to UK cinemas on 17 December.
