New Lego Black Panther series will help tide you over until 'Infinity War' sequel (exclusive video)

Since opening its borders to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the kingdom of Wakanda has yet to host an Olympics or a Starbucks… much to Okoye’s chagrin. On the other hand, the Dora Milaje supersoldier will probably be thrilled to know that her homeland has been Lego-fied. On May 11, Marvel is dropping a series of Lego-themed shorts, Lego Marvel Super Heroes–Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda, which feature King T’Challa and his fellow Wakandan heroes fighting bad guys ranging from Killmonger to Thanos. Yahoo Entertainment has your exclusive first look at these re-brickulous cartoons, which will also air as part of an hourlong special on June 3 at 11 a.m. on Disney XD. (Watch the clip above.)

Unlike in Avengers: Infinity War, where Thanos brings the fight to Wakanda, the Lego version of T’Challa heads to Manhattan to battle the Mad Titan. Luckily, he still has a Hulk, as the Lego version of the big green bruiser isn’t as scared to swap places with Bruce Banner as his live-action counterpart proved to be. Captain America, Black Widow, and Dr. Strange also pop up in Trouble in Wakanda, with Cap once again sporting his star-spangled vibranium shield. But it’s Killmonger’s reappearance that will probably generate the most fan excitement… even without the presence of Michael B. Jordan and his formidable, dental-brace snapping abs.

Trouble in Wakanda debuts May 11 on Marvel HQ.
