New Green 'Arrow:' An impressive in debut under the hood

John Diggle officially took over as the Green Arrow on Arrow. And the sidekick-turned-main-man went through a little bit of a breaking-in period.

Before being asked to replace Oliver Queen, Diggle was going to divulge that he was suffering from degenerative nerve damage in his hand.

Regardless, Diggle is the new Green Arrow. But his debut wasn’t without its share of problems. In fact, Diggle almost gave up until Oliver stepped in.

Oliver told his friend, “All of this — the Green Arrow, the idea of it — it exists because you had faith in me. Now you got to have the same kind of faith in yourself. Because if you do … you can be a better leader. You can be a better hero than I ever was.”

Arrow airs at 9 p.m. on the CW.
