New Galio rework brings wonderful arrogance to League of Legends

Riot Games has revealed the first gameplay teaser of the long-requested rework of Galio, coming soon to League of Legends.

Whereas old Galio was a stalwart, but somewhat boring (and underpowered) protectionist gargoyle, the rework seems to have turned him into a cocky, narcissistic superhero style character. And let me just say, I’m into it.

While we haven’t gotten a full breakdown of his abilities yet, the teaser does give us some hints. He’s still got a tornado-tossing ability, but now has a charging Vi-style uppercut that he can use to disable foes. Most excitingly, the video gives us a glimpse at what will possibly be his ultimate, an ability that allows him to leap high into the air, landing far away from his original position and deal AOE damage upon crashing down.
