Netherlands and partners contribute $190 million to UK-led Ukraine aid fund
The Netherlands and its partners will pay for EUR 175 million ($190 million) worth of military equipment for Ukraine, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren announced via X on May 23.
Ollongren said that the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) will procure air and naval defense equipment, co-financed by the Netherlands.
“Ukraine needs more resources for air and maritime defense,” the minister wrote.
“The International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) has therefore announced the purchase of materiel to the value of EUR 175 million, co-financed by the Netherlands.”

The International Fund for Ukraine is a financing mechanism that buys military equipment for Kyiv through contributions from international partners.
The fund is managed by the UK Defense Ministry on behalf of an executive committee that includes the UK, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Lithuania.
