Netflix Reveals 10 Horror Movies Viewers Were Too Scared to Finish

The nightmares are real.

Have you ever settled in for a Netflix sesh on a dark, quiet night, choosing a horror movie or two in hopes that you’ll get a little thrill out of it...only to find that it’s just too scary and there’s no way you can finish it? You’re definitely not alone. It turns out that there are plenty of popular horror movies that were just too much for viewers, and the list may surprise you.

Netflix compiled a list of the top ten horror movies its users frequently left unfinished, and according to Forbes, the requirement was that “users made it 70% of the way through the movie, but turned it off en masse before finishing it.” Netflix took that to mean that people didn’t hate the movie, since they’d watched it so long; rather, they were actually scared. So if you’ve ever felt like a chicken for skipping out on the creepiest parts of a movie, don’t take it personally. Lots of other people have done the exact same thing!

Which movies made the list? Cabin Fever, the 2016 film about a flesh-eating disease, made an appearance, along with a violent thriller from 2016 called Carnage Park. The popular Conjuring scored a spot on the list (although its sequel doesn’t appear), and the French movie Raw, about a young cannibal girl, also nabbed an honorable mention.

Check out the full list below, and either stay far, far away from these movies or add them to your queue for your next scary movie night ASAP.
