Every month Netflix brings us more movies and more TV shows (an emphasis on the latter). Naturally, the streaming service has to make way for its newest titles, and therefore some other movies have to make the cut. Here are the best movies to watch before they vanish from Netflix's slate.
Alive (July 1)
Based on a true story, this drama depicts the infamous Uruguayan rugby team, whose flight crashed in the Andes mountains in 1972. Sixteen men survived the accident, and then embarked on a horrific quest for survival in sub-zero temperatures.
Before Midnight (July 1)
The conclusion to Richard Linklater's acclaimed Before Trilogy, the film reunites Jesse and Celine (co-writers Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy) who are now a married couple with two children living in Greece. Yet marriage isn't entirely bliss, even in the most exotic and romantic location.
Bring It On (July 1)
Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union star as the leaders of two rival high school cheerleading squads-one predominantly white, the other African-American-competing for the top prize at the national cheerleading championships.
Cocktail (July 1)
It's Top Gun, but behind a bar: Tom Cruise stars as a business student who moonlights as a bartender, but his impressive drink-wielding skills prove he has a flair for mixology in this totally cheesy '80s drama.
Lethal Weapon (July 1)
Perhaps one of the best buddy-cop movies of all time, Danny Glover and Mel Gibson star as a pair of mismatched LAPD detectives who are forced to work together. The movie launched three sequels-all of which are leaving Netflix this month.
Michael Clayton (July 1)
George Clooney plays a corporate lawyer who uncovers a web of corruption and lies after his colleague (Tom Wilkinson) has a mental breakdown. Tilda Swinton won an Oscar for her chilling performance as an unscrupulous legal shark who tries to stop Clooney's title character from uncovering the truth.
V for Vendetta (July 1)
Alan Moore and David Lloyd's iconic graphic novel got the big-screen treatment, with Hugo Weaving donning the Guy Fawkes mask in this disturbing dystopian thriller that imagines a dark and fascist future.
Breakfast at Tiffany's (July 1)
In arguably her most iconic movie role, Audrey Hepburn lights up the screen as the alluring Holly Golightly in this classic adaptation of Truman Capote's romantic novella.
Changeling (July 16)
Clint Eastwood's lush period drama-which stars Angelina Jolie as a frantic Los Angeles mother whose son disappears, only to "return" as a different boy-slowly reveals itself to be a complex tale of murder, gaslighting, and political corruption.
Wanted (July 29)
Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy star in this full-throttle comic book adaptation about a regular joe who learns that his recently deceased father was an assassin-and that his murderer plans to kill him next.
