Neshannock reschedules solar hearing

Apr. 23—The Neshannock Township supervisors have rescheduled a public hearing to consider a challenge to the zoning ordinance for a request for a solar array.

The meeting, initially scheduled for Wednesday was postponed because of a scheduling matter and has been set for 6 p.m. May 16 at the township municipal building on Mercer Road.

The request for a hearing is to consider a curative amendment to the zoning ordinance.

The property in question is located at 1151 Old Pulaski Road and is owned by Louis and Janet L. Kalajainen Pomerico. They are proposing to establish a principal solar energy system on their property, which would involve about 80 acres.
