The rift between Neighbours' Susan Kennedy and Terese Willis is set to worsen in new scenes.

Earlier this month, Susan agreed to become Operations Manager at Terese's new retirement centre business, Eirini Rising Development.

The new working arrangements quickly began to cause tension between the friends when Terese changed the work Susan had been doing, unaware that her ideas were inconveniencing her colleague.

In scenes set to air on Monday, May 13, Susan approaches the new day with a fresh outlook, determined to try and improve her working relationship with Terese.

She decides to draw up a working chart in the hope that if everything is laid out, there won't be any misunderstandings with Terese going forward.

However, after Susan asks Terese for her opinion, Terese unintentionally micro-manages and changes Susan's plan, thinking she wouldn't mind.

When Susan then realises Terese has reworked her ideas, she lies and says she appreciates her friend's input.

Later, as the awkwardness continues to increase between them, Susan and Terese both confide in their respective partners, who advise them to communicate with each other.

Unfortunately, the women aren't keen to talk to one another about their issues and decide to let things be as they continue to navigate their working relationship.

Elsewhere, Terese was recently presented with another hurdle, as she reunited with her estranged husband Toadie Rebecchi after he left for the US following their split.

The couple parted ways earlier this year after Terese discovered Toadie had cheated on her with his ex-wife Melanie Pearson.

Actor Rebekah Elmaloglou, who plays Terese, recently spoke to Digital Spy about Terese's devastation over Toadie's betrayal, admitting that the incident was "Terese's biggest fear".

"Terese is just absolutely devastated because her relationship with Toadie was very secure," she explained, adding that it is "completely unlike her relationship with Paul [Robinson]".

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
