Nebraska shows off ironic cleats with money all over them
This is just a little awkward.
Nebraska is touting some new cleats from Adidas. And those cleats have money emojis all over them. They’ll presumably be worn by Nebraska’s football players sometime this season. As you know, college athletes aren’t allowed to be paid in the name of amateurism.

The cleats look cool, don’t get us wrong. It’s just hilarious that Adidas would make cleats like these for players who are prevented from making any money based on their own likeness.
Oh well, a little hypocrisy hasn’t stopped anyone in college sports before. And of all the things hypocritical in college football, this doesn’t rank very high on the list.
