Nearly 2,000 without power near downtown Concord
CONCORD, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Nearly 2,000 customers were without power in Concord Tuesday afternoon.
According to city officials, the outage was reported around 3:45 p.m. April 23. It’s affected the Church Street North corridor just north of downtown.
The outage was caused by a fallen limb due to the wind. Officials said the power was briefly restored at 4:10 p.m., but it went back out again before finally being restored around 5 p.m. Two lines touching each other caused the second outage.
Concord residents are asked to not dial 911 to report a power outage, instead to call 704-920-5555
