Hillsborough County power outage resolved; nearly 2K people affected

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A power outage was resolved after affecting nearly 2,000 people in south Hillsborough County Sunday.

According to TECO’s outage map, 1,929 customers were affected by an outage in the area of Sun City Center at around noon.

TECO said it is aware of the outage and expected power to be restored completely at around 3:50 p.m.

The TECO outage map said the outage was caused by damage to equipment.
