‘NCIS’ Star Pauley Perrette Rejoices Over End to ‘Lies’ About Why She’s Leaving Show

‘NCIS’ Star Pauley Perrette Rejoices Over End to ‘Lies’ About Why She’s Leaving Show

“NCIS” star Pauley Perrette is hopeful that the “lies” about her are coming to an end.

Perrette, who plays forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on the popular CBS procedural, took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a link to an MSN story about three men agreeing to settle Federal Trade Commission charges surrounding fraudulent internet-marketing practices.

The settlement, which carries a hefty $179 million fine, prohibits the men from using deceptive marketing techniques, including “bogus celebrity endorsements,” according to the FTC statement.

This comes a day after Perrette had tweeted that ads for a skin care line continued to use her image without permission. She added that the misleading promos include “lies” about her leaving “NCIS” to focus on cosmetics.

“They caught ‘em!” the actress tweeted Thursday. “Hopefully these false ads will end now! I DON’T have a skin care line!”

On Wednesday, she wrote, “I’M NOT LEAVING NCIS FOR A SKIN CARE LINE! I’m leaving, but that’s not why.”

“NCIS” fans have been struggling to grapple with Perrette’s impending departure after she announced last month that the show’s currently airing Season 15 will be her last. She has not given a specific reason for walking away.

Perrette’s latest tweet is below.
