NC stingray predicts outcome of Duke-UNC basketball game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCN) — A North Carolina stingray has made its prediction for the upcoming Duke vs. UNC basketball game on Saturday.

At the SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord aquarium, staff members attach fish to designated poles with one pole representing UNC and the other representing Duke. The stingray glides between the poles before making its choice.

“This remarkable event is not just about predicting a game; it’s a celebration of the unique bond between humans and marine life,” the aquarium said. “It showcases the wonder and intelligence of these magnificent creatures while adding an element of fun to the age-old rivalry between UNC and Duke.”
