Dec 14 (The Sports Xchange) - New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis did not play in Sunday's home game against the Golden State Warriors because of a chest contusion, the team announced. Davis was injured during Friday night's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tests revealed no serious injuries, and he is not expected to miss a significant amount of time. Davis is averaging 24.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks. - - - Minnesota Timberwolves center/forward Ronny Turiaf will have arthroscopic surgery on his right hip, the team announced Sunday. The operation will be performed Tuesday by Dr. Bryan Kelly at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. In two games this season, Turiaf has one rebound and two assists. - - - The Sacramento Kings reassigned rookie forward Eric Moreland to the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League.
