Navarre's second McDonald's planned for Navarre Parkway

A new set of golden arches could be coming soon to Navarre Parkway after a proposal to build a new McDonald’s was filed with Santa Rosa County on May 6.

If approved, the new restaurant would become the global fast-food chain’s second location in the Navarre area. The only McDonald’s in Navarre currently is located at 8644 Navarre Pkwy and it’s about 10 minutes from where the new restaurant is proposed for development.

Developers proposed building the new restaurant at 7368 Navarre Parkway in between a Walmart at 7360 Navarre Parkway and a neighborhood on Falling Leaves Court.

They plan for the new McDonald’s to be approximately 4,584 square feet, have two drive-thru lanes and two access roads, according to the project’s concept plan document filed with Santa Rosa County.

Both roads will lead into Walmart’s parking lot, but the southern access road will bring drivers directly onto Navarre Parkway.

Developers proposed for the potential McDonald’s to have 49 parking spaces, according to the same document.

Santa Rosa County Development Services reviewed the proposal during a pre-application meeting on May 16.
