Nationwide measles outbreak leaves some Western Slope counties vulnerable

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — There is a widespread outbreak of measles across the nation which has put many communities at risk. The number of cases reported this year has already exceeded the total number of cases reported in 2023. This has raised concerns among county health departments who are monitoring the situation closely. Garfield County has issued a press release warning its residents about the possibility of nationwide spikes in measles cases.
