National Weather Service confirms three tornadoes in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley on Tuesday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Multiple tornadoes from Tuesday morning’s storms were confirmed on Friday as the National Weather Service surveyed the affected areas.

Three tornadoes were confirmed by the National Weather Service:

Odell, Ark. – EF1

NWS said the tornado developed west of S 4735 Road near Stilwell in Adair County where trees were uprooted and snapped. Outbuildings and multiple trees were destroyed as the tornado crossed Highway 59, Dobbs Mountain Road and Odell Road.

The tornado dissipated east of Odell Road after being on the ground for 11.7 miles. It was on the ground for 16 minutes and had peak winds of 105 to 110mph, according to NWS.

Mountainburg – EF1

This tornado developed near County Road 27 four miles northeast of Rudy and traveled northeast, the National Weather Service said. It moved across Interstate 49, Highway 282 and Highway 71.

The tornado dissipated south of Highway 348. It was on the ground for 5.7 miles and had peak winds of 105 to 110 mph.

Crosses – EF1

The National Weather Service said this tornado started three miles WSW of Delaney in Washington County and west of Highway 23 where trees were uprooted. It moved east across Highway 123 and into Madison County.

It later crossed 5522 Road and Highway 295 before it dissipated west of Highway 16. It was on the ground for 2.8 miles and had peak winds of 100 to 110 mph.

NWS said there were no injuries or deaths reported with these three tornadoes.
