National Police Bloodhound training next week at Wisp Resort

Apr. 24—MCHENRY — Annual certification training of the National Police Bloodhound Association will be conducted Sunday through Thursday through the sponsorship of the Garrett County Sheriff's Office.

While the training beginning Sunday will be based at the Wisp Resort, the instructional training and certification will also take K-9 units into parks and municipalities throughout the county. Residents are urged not to interrupt the training and not become alarmed by the police activity.

The National Police Bloodhound Association is the oldest police bloodhound association in the U.S. Law enforcement from national and local jurisdictions take part in the annual training which has been conducted for many years in Garrett County through the sponsorship of the sheriff's Office.
