National Championship rock on display inside Rams ballpark
SAN ANGELO, TX. — If you made your way out to Foster Field at First Community Credit Union Stadium for an Angelo State baseball game this past weekend, you’d notice some new and quite large as you walked in.
Well, last week, a large rock was placed right as you walk into the ballpark carved out in the state of Texas commemorating the Rams 2023 National Championship victory.
Rams head coach Kevin Brooks said that former players put money together to be able to pay for the rock so that it can be something that can be forever remembered.
It’s a big deal. I think the people that were apart of that, it’s important we remember it. Five years from now you ask who won the 2023 National Championship nobody is going to know. This keeps it on there. I’m really proud of the money raised from the former players and it’s got all the World Series teams on there right now too so not only is it honoring last years group but all the guys that have accomplished that tremendous thing,” said Brooks.
