NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 42-year-old Nashville man was arrested after a sting operation by detectives to locate unreleased Nike merchandise that was stolen after delivery in mid-February.

According to court documents, 10 boxes containing 350 adult workout onesies, which are a collaboration between Nike and Megan Thee Stallion, were stolen after FedEx delivered the packages to a distribution center on Elm Hill Pike.

Nike launched an investigation after FedEx confirmed the packages were delivered to the Elm Hill Pike address. Investigators found the unreleased merchandise for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Nashville by Joseph Harris two days after the boxes were stolen, Metro police said. This reportedly happened five days before the collection was set to be released.

Detectives messaged Harris and arranged to purchase three onesies from the collection in a grocery store parking lot on Murfreesboro Road.

On Wednesday, March 6, Harris sold the three requested onesies to detectives and provided two more as extras “for friends” for $180, according to court documents. The estimated value of five onesies is $625.

During the transaction, detectives reportedly saw a large bag in Harris’ vehicle that contained more onesies.
