‘Nashville’ Recap: Juliette and Maddie Take Their Beef to Twitter
There was a lot of drama on Nashville when Maddie and Juliette were nominated for the same American Music Award category. The two were nominated for Favorite Pop Song, but Juliette’s song was actually intended for Maddie — until she stole it.
Maddie hasn’t told anyone about it, but at the same time she has refused to speak with the old friend who betrayed her so badly. So she didn’t know what to do when her ex-friend tweeted, “Congrats @maddiejaymesmusic on your first nomination! So well deserved.”
After some very dramatic deliberations, Maddie responded by tweeting, “Thanks @juliettebarnes I wrote it myself.”
Juliette thought the response was a bit of a slap in the face. She told her manager, “It’s like she’s conveniently forgotten all the things that I’ve done for her.” And as far a Juliette’s guilty heart can see, this is just the beginning of a war.
Nashville airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on CMT.
