‘Narcos’ Season 2 Trailer: The Search for Pablo Escobar Continues

The search continues for famed Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar in the “Narcos” season 2 trailer which Netflix released Thursday morning.

“Ok, let me break it down for you. Four-thousand soldiers, tens of thousands of rounds of fire, and a bunch of f—in’ helicopters,” the trailer begins with a voiceover. “There was no way Pablo Escobar was getting out of this one.”

Season 2 picks up after Escobar escapes from the La Catedral prison following President Gaviria’s order for a special-forces team to be sent into the prison to kill Escobar and his men. But, outside of La Catedral, Escobar is much more vulnerable because he no longer has the protection of his hundreds of men.

“Narcos” chronicles the real-life stories of the infamous drug lords of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on. Wagner Moura will reprise his role as drug kingpin Escobar alongside Boyd Holbrook and Pedro Pascal as real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña.

All 10 episodes of “Narcos” will hit on Netflix on September 2.
