Nancy Pelosi will 'cut your head off and you won't even know you're bleeding,' daughter says

Alexandra Pelosi, the daughter of House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), was hesitant to discuss her mother Wednesday on CNN’s New Day with Alison Camerota and John Berman, but when she did she was very candid.Berman asked Alexandra how her mother approaches meetings with President Donald Trump, and how she feels about Nancy becoming Speaker of the House for a second time.“She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding. That’s all you need to know about her,” Alexandra said. “No one ever won betting against Nancy Pelosi. She’s persevered. You’ve got to give her credit. No matter what you think of her you have to give her credit. Think about all those presidents she’s endured, right? The Bushes, the Clintons. She’s been through it all.” Alexandra, a political reporter and documentary filmmaker, says it’s her mother’s experience through the decades that will help her during the current government shutdown and negotiations with President Donald Trump.“No one ever won betting against Nancy Pelosi,” Alexandra said. “She’s persevered. You’ve got to give her credit. No matter what you think of her, you have to give her credit. Because, think about it. Think about all those presidents she’s endured, right? The Bushes, the Clintons. She’s been through it all. She’s been around. This is not her first rodeo, as your friend George Bush would say. She knows what she’s doing. And that should make you sleep at night, knowing that at least somebody in this town knows what they’re doing.”Nancy Pelosi is likely to become Speaker of the House for a second time on Thursday, and Alexandra says that proves that the country is changing fundamentally with what she calls, “a beautiful-looking congress.”“When Nancy Pelosi came to town, it was a boy's club. That was 30 years ago, a boys club,” Alexandra said. “Look around tomorrow. It will be a whole new America. You are going to see something so magical that you have not seen before.”New Day airs weekdays at 6 a.m. on CNN.Check out what some witches are saying about Donald Trump's use of the term "witch hunt":
