Nadine Lustre won't say yes or no to "Darna"
10 Apr – While she may have the physique for it, Nadine Lustre recently stated that she doesn't have to be the one to replace Liza Soberano as the new Darna.
As reported on Philstar, the actress, who was asked to comment on Soberano's departure from the project and her being one of the fan favourites to play the role, stated that she is happy and honoured to have even been considered suitable for the role.
"I'm really happy that they're very supportive, but I know that the role is going to be given to someone who's deserving and someone who can do it. I mean, it doesn't have to be me. It just has to be someone who can give justice to the role," she said.
Asked if she would say yes if it was offered to her, Lustre replied, "I don't know. It depends. I don't really like saying that I don't want to do it or not because it's really going to be about who deserves the role," she said.
Lustre is currently preparing for her new movie, the dance musical "Indak".
In a previous interview, Kapamilya darling Kathryn Bernardo gave an honest no to playing the role, saying that it does not suit her.
