NABU chief dismisses first deputy over potential information leak

Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Semen Kryvonos has dismissed his first deputy Gizo Uglava at his own request, NABU press service reported after a request from NV Business on May 24.

“To ensure an objective pre-trial investigation into alleged information leak, NABU Director ordered to suspend the First Deputy Director of NABU from performing his duties and managing  units," NABU said in response to the editorial request.

"We will inform the public about course and results of the pre-trial investigation."

NABU also added that management and staff of Bureau are interested in conducting a full, comprehensive and impartial investigation into this fact.

According to NV Business's sources, Uglava may be involved in leaking information about the progress of NABU investigations.
