Myrtle Beach marking 75th birthday with air show

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Myrtle Beach will celebrate its 75th birthday this summer with a bit more than a cake.

Officials are making plans to have an air show along the shoreline including the Air Force Thunderbirds and other flying teams. The show is being planned for June 28 through June 30.

It will also include music by the U.S. Army Band.

There is no charge for the show.

There will also be vendors, music and other events near the Myrtle Beach boardwalk where the Pavilion once stood.
