Muskingum County Board of Developmental Disabilities celebrates awareness month

The Muskingum Board of Developmental Disabilities held a March for Inclusion on March 4 in Downtown Zanesville for Developmental Disability Month. There were nearly 200 participants with speakers at the Muskingum County Courthouse. Muskingum County Commissioners were also on hand to present a proclamation declaring March as DD Awareness Month in Muskingum County and encourage the community to learn more about developmental disabilities and explore ways to foster a more inclusive and supportive community.

The Muskingum Tigers Special Olympics basketball team had a game against the Zanesville Fire Department for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month on March 5 at the Singer Center. The Tigers won 56 to 54 in overtime. The Tigers Cheer Team performed at halftime.
