LONDON (AP) — Music producer Mark Ronson has been working with Olympic hopefuls from five nations to create an anthem that fuses sounds from training routines with music beats.
The three-time Grammy winner unveiled the project Thursday as Coca-Cola revealed its global campaign for the London 2012 Games. The song will provide the soundtrack for commercials, digital platforms and events during the games.
Ronson has recorded athletes as they went about their training, sometimes attaching microphones to their legs, chests and arms.
The sounds varied from the bounce of a ping pong ball to the thwack of an arrow being released from an archers bow. He will use them in the single.
