Murrysville area: Veterans Day events, 'Girl's Night Out,' more

Veterans Day activities

The White Valley AMVETS, Delmont VFW and Murrysville and Export American Legions will partner to host Veterans Day activities throughout the community. Events include:

—9 a.m., ceremony at Eastview Union Cemetery, 339 East Pittsburgh St., Delmont

—9:15 a.m., Delmont honor roll at the borough building memorial, 77 Greensburg St., Delmont

—9:30 a.m., ceremony at First Presbyterian Church, 101 Church St., Delmont

—10:15 a.m., Export honor roll at borough war memorial, between Washington Avenue and the Westmoreland Heritage Trail.

—10:30 a.m., honor roll at Murrysville Community Park, 4056 Wiestertown Rd.

—11 a.m., honor roll at White Valley AMVETS Post 85, 2100 Carolina St., Murrysville, followed by veterans lunch.

'Girl's Night Out' at Moose

The Export Moose will host a "Girl's Night Out" from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Moose, 5903 Washington Ave.

The evening will include shopping, food and live music.

Thespians present 'Elsewhere'

The Franklin Regional Thespians will stage a production of Don Zolidis's play "Elsewhere" Nov. 17-20 at the Franklin Regional High School auditorium.

Tickets are $8. There is no reserved seating.

Shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17-19, with a 2 p.m. matinee Nov. 20 at the high school, 3200 School Road in Murrysville.

Train station hours changing

The Export Train Station has changed its hours for winter.

The station will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Daily hours will resume in April 2023.
