Mulvane Rec Center hosts community health fair

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Mulvane Recreation Center hosted a free community health fair on Saturday.

They had activities for the whole family, from dance to yoga. They also offered parents a chance to talk to all kinds of medical professionals with health questions.

“Well, we’re really excited. We have the teddy bear clinic with the med center,” Kande Jones, development director at Mulvane Rec Center, said. “We have the emergency services, they’re doing free bicycle registrations, helmet checks, 911 simulator. We’ve also got our mother’s day out is leading gymnastics, and our fitness instructors are having yoga and taekwondo demonstrations.”

The main goal of the event was to connect people in the community with resources they may need.
