Multiple vehicle crash results in serious injuries in Clay Co.

CLAY CENTER (KSNT) – A 64-year-old man from Clay Center was suspected of having serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash five miles north of Clay Center.

At 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, the 64-year-old was driving a 1999 Toyota Rav4 north on K15 Highway. An 80-year-old man from Clay Center was driving a 2008 Dodge Caravan and a 49-year-old man from Persia, Iowa was driving a 1989 Freightliner semi-truck south on K-15 Highway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.

The 65-year-old man crossed the center line and hit the Dodge Caravan. The semi-truck then hit the Dodge Caravan, according to the crash log.

Kansas agencies report loss of service amid nationwide outage

The driver and occupant of the Dodge Caravan were both reported to have possible injuries. The 64-year-old was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. All drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the crash log.
