Multiple explosions reported in Hernando County fire

RIDGE MANOR, Fla. (WFLA) — Hernando County firefighters worked to extinguish a structure fire in Ridge Manor Sunday afternoon.

A Hernando County Fire Rescue spokesman told 8 On Your Side that a mobile home, multiple travel trailers, and sheds caught on fire shortly before 12:30 p.m. in the area of Talisman Street.

At 1 p.m., the HCFR’s X account reported that multiple explosions have broken out on the property.

When crews first arrived they found a mobile home fully engulfed, along with multiple pull-behind RV-style trailers. Due to the flames, several tankers were requested, and Pasco County Fire Rescue assisted with the firefighting effort.

According to HCFR, it took crews over an hour to get the flames under control. Crews will remain on the scene, working to fully extinguish the fire.

At this time, it is not known what caused the fires. No injuries have been reported.
