WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — “Multiple people” have been detained after a shooting in West Valley City Thursday evening, according to the West Valley City Police Department.

Officers said it appeared people from two different vehicles fired shots near 3500 S 3200 W at around 7 p.m.

Lt. Jason Vincent of WVCPD later told ABC4.com that “Based on all the parties involved, I think we only have one person that was doing the shooting. The other parties were just vehicles that were general motoring public that got bumped into.”

No injuries have been reported, and an investigation is ongoing.
