May 11—A Muleshoe woman died Wednesday night in a vehicle crash in Lamb County, Texas, near Amherst.

Sherri Harrison, 57, was killed after her 2009 Toyota Camry collided with a truck near the intersection of U.S. 84 and Farm to Market Road 37, according to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Harrison's vehicle was leaving a private drive off U.S. 84 and "pulled into the path" of a 1998 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Clay Hayes, 66, of Albuquerque, according to DPS.

Hayes was not injured. Harrison was transported to Lamb County Healthcare Center where she died, DPS reported.

Harrison was a Bailey County judge from 2005 to 2022, when she lost a re-election bid to Basil Nash.

Indian startup Zypp Electric plans to use fresh investment from Japanese oil and energy conglomerate ENEOS to take its EV rental service into Southeast Asia early next year, TechCrunch has exclusively learned. Of those 15 markets, Zypp Electric plans to launch its pilot in at least one Southeast Asian market early next year, co-founder and CEO Akash Gupta told TechCrunch in an interview.
