The larger than life personality of Muhammad Ali was felt deeply by both the athletes who fought against him and the journalists who covered him. Former heavyweight champion George Foreman tells Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric: “The only way to describe him truly is beautiful.” NBC Sports host Bob Costas adds that Ali was endlessly “charming” - despite also being controversial. “The reason he was able, by and large, to get away with behavior that is offensive in other people is that he was singular. He was unique… He was in a category all his own,” says Costas.
