Denver will see almost 15 hours of daylight during the longest day of the year, which is about six more hours of daylight than the Mile High City’s “shortest day.”

During the shortest day of the year when the Earth is tilted away from the sun, Denver saw only about nine hours of daylight while other cities saw even less. Areas in Alaska saw as little as six hours of sunlight.

How to protect your home after a high windstorm

Luckily, the summer is making up for the dark days from December, with the most sunlight happening in cities that saw some of the least over the winter.

Alaska is getting about 18 hours of sun by the end of June while other areas are seeing almost 16 hours of light, compared to eight hours over the winter.
