MTV's ‘Awkward’ Star Beau Mirchoff Joins NBC's Manson Series ‘Aquarius’
NBC is building its case around Manson with two new castings for recurring roles on the upcoming drama “Aquarius.”
MTV's “Awkward” hunk Beau Mirchoff and “All My Children” alum Ambyr Childers join the 1960s drama with “X-Files” star David Duchovny playing Det. Hodiak, an L.A. police sergeant who's tracking the young Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony).
Mirchoff will play Rick Zondervan, a fictitious UCLA student who attends a drug party in Laurel Canyon with his girlfriend and run into Charles Manson himself.

Represented by APA, Velocity Entertainment Partners and Ginsburg Daniels, Mirchoff is best known for playing the lead in the MTV comedy “Awkward.” His other television credits include “Desperate Housewives” and “Heartland.”
Childers will play a woman that helps ensnare Emma (Emma Dumont) in a plan to get her to join Manson's group, by luring her boyfriend away. She is repped by UTA and McKeon-Myones Management.
Writer John McNamara (“In Plain Sight,” “Profit”) will executive produce with Duchovny along with Marty Adelstein (“Prison Break,” “Last Man Standing”) and Melanie Greene.

NBC ordered 13 episodes in March of the series produced by ITV Studios America in association with Marty Adelstein Productions.
