MTA employee tackled by man while clearing out subway train in Queens: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A subway operator was attacked while trying to clear an M train of passengers at a Queens station on Sunday, according to authorities.

It happened on a train stopped at the Middle Village–Metropolitan Avenue subway station around 11:55 p.m., police said. The employee was tackled to the ground by a man, according to authorities.

The victim was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center with back pain.

Police described the suspect as a man in his 50s, according to authorities.
