MSP tickets Grand Ledge man for going 125 in a 55 zone
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — One man’s high-speed joy ride came to a screeching halt this week, after a Michigan State Police trooper pulled him over and ticketed him for going 70 mph over the speed limit.
After pulling the 24-year-old Grand Ledge man over in Eaton Rapids Twp. Thursday evening, MSP cited him for driving 125 mph in a 55-mph zone, and also for Reckless Driving.
MSP First District posted about the high-speed incident on the agency’s social media page Friday.
“Trooper from the Lansing Post observed a driver operating his vehicle recklessly in a parking lot in Eaton Rapids Twp.,” MSP said in the post. “The vehicle, a 2003 Ford Mustang, then sped off traveling on Michigan Rd. at a max speed of 125 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.”
MSP concluded the post by saying, “Speeds that fast are not safe for anyone.”
