MSP: 1 injured in shooting on US-131 in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a person was injured in a shooting on southbound US-131 in Grand Rapids.

Michigan State Police said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday on southbound US-131 near Burton Street.

State police said a person inside a vehicle shot at another vehicle, hitting one person. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

US-131 was closed for about 40 minutes as authorities investigated, according to MSP.

The shooting remains under investigation.
