Ms Marvel star Iman Vellani has opened up on having a hard time rewatching one particular movie in the MCU.

The actress – and Marvel comics superfan – plays Kamala Khan aka teen Muslim superhero Ms Marvel in a newly released Disney+ series. In a recent interview, she revealed there's one film of the mega franchise she still can't rewatch.

Vellani refuses to rewatch Avengers: Endgame, the 2019 film which saw the final appearances of many of the OG Avengers, including Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr).

Stark's death (hardly a spoiler at this point) had a major impact on Vellani. "I think part of me has died forever, honestly," she told Elite Daily.

The young star said she relates to Stark, despite having different background and experiences.

"Obviously, Tony Stark, a middle-aged white dude and me, a 16-year-old brown kid — they're not the same thing," Vellani said.

"But I related to a lot of his inner conflict of what does it mean to do the right thing and be a good person? And how can you be a good person when you've done so much wrong, and how do you eradicate those errors?"

Vellani previously said she has received support from some of her MCU co-stars, including Brie Larson aka Captain Marvel, a superhero Vellani's character Kamala idolises.

After Brie reached out, she and Iman talked on video chat "for hours", with the Oscar winner sharing a precious piece of advice.

"I was listening to her give me really great advice on how to take care of yourself, because you can get lost in this world and everything can get super overwhelming and it's a lot of emotions and new experiences," Vellani shared.

Ms Marvel is streaming on Disney+.
