‘Mr. Mercedes’: What Will Happen In Season 1, Episode 9?
Things are going to heat up between Brady and Robi in Season 1, episode 9 of “Mr. Mercedes.”
According to the synopsis for next week’s episode of the Audience Network series, tensions escalate between Brady (Harry Treadaway) and Robi (Robert Stanton), who had a disagreement last episode after the computer technician refused to go to work despite his supervisor’s request.
In the trailer for the upcoming episode, Brady sneaks into Robi’s house to ask a very important question. “Why are the police looking for me?” Brady inquires.
“You tell me!” replies Robi who seems to be shocked by Brady’s unexpected arrival.
Apparently, Robi isn’t the only person that has been asked about Brady’s whereabouts. At some point in the trailer, Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) is seen asking Lou (Breeda Wool) about Brady’s location.
While it’s unclear whether Lou disclose any details about Brady, the latter part of the trailer reveals that Hodges and the police eventually find Brady’s residence. In an attempt to arrest Brady once and for all, a troop of police officers, including Pete (Scott Lawrence) and Izzy (Nicole Barré), surrounds the killer’s house, waiting for the right moment to take charge.

But Brady, who is seemingly anticipating the police, has something up his sleeves. Using his very own remote control invention, Brady remotely starts the ice cream truck parked in front of his house, prompting the authorities to believe that he’s inside the vehicle when he’s really not.
“Step out of the vehicle immediately,” a police officer tells Brady. But when no one goes out of the truck, the police start firing at the vehicle.
Elsewhere in episode 9, Jerome (Jharrel Jerome) and Holly (Justine Lupe) have concerns that the Mercedes Killer might attack again. In the trailer, Jerome informs Hodges that there’s going to be a job fair at the Rosen Hills Community Center, and he thinks that the killer might wreak havoc at the event. “It’s his M.O,” the Harvard-bound student tells the retired detective.
While it remains to be seen whether Jerome’s hunch is right, last week’s episode saw Brady taking interest in the upcoming opening of Edmund Mills Arts Center. When Brady learned from the news that “thousands of residents, visitors, spectators and participants will be on hand” to celebrate the center’s opening day, Brady menacingly told himself: “Oh, there will be a celebration … absolutely.”
