DC police investigating fatal crash on I-395

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it’s investigating a traffic crash that killed a man on Friday evening.

MPD said that on March 29 at about 5:30 p.m., a car was traveling north in the Third Street Tunnel, when at the exit it rear-ended another car and did not stop.

A minute later, the same car crossed lanes of traffic and started driving in the shoulder lane.

When the driver attempted to get back into the main lanes of traffic, the car mounted a curb and struck a light pole.

The man died at the hospital. He was identified as 48-year-old Ronald Jerome Jordan Jr. of Capitol Heights, Md.
