MPD: 4 carjackers held man at gunpoint, stole Dodge Charger

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are on the lookout for four men who allegedly used guns to carjack a man late Friday evening.

On Friday, May 10 at 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a carjacking at 4101 Yale Road.

Officers were told that the victim was about to enter his white 2019 Dodge Charger when four unknown suspects exited a blue Kia Optima.

The victim said that they were armed with guns and carjacked him at gunpoint for his vehicle.

One of the suspects got into the driver seat of the victim’s vehicle and drove it away from the scene, followed by the other suspects in the Kia Optima.

Police learned the Kia Optima was reported stolen out of Appling Farms Station on May 2.

Memphis Police responded to a call in Cordova after the door to a store was shattered Tuesday morning.

Police say the victim’s vehicle was recovered at 2723 Watkins Road at the BP Gas Station.

The police have provided the following descriptions of the four suspects:

  • Suspect No. 1: A 5’6″ to 5’9″ male between 18-20 years old, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. He was armed with a black handgun.

  • Suspect No. 2: A 5’6″ to 5’10″male between 18-20 years old, wearing a black hoodie, a blue surgical mask, black jeans and multi-colored shoes. He was armed with two handguns.

  • Suspect No. 3: A 5’7″ to 5″10″ male between 18-20 years old, wearing a gray hoodie, blue surgical mask and black jeans. He was armed with a black handgun.

  • Suspect No. 4: A 5’7″ to 5’10” male between 18-20 years old, wearing a white t-shirt, a brown mask and black jeans. He was armed with a black handgun.
