On the Move: Tracking the Ins and Outs of California Lawyers

Allen Matkins promoted two attorneys to partner in California. Timothy Hutter focuses on business and real estate disputes and is based in the San Diego office. Kamran Javandel represents clients in general business litigation and environmental matters. He is based in the San Francisco office. Michelle Lee Flores joins Akerman's Los Angeles office as a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Recently at Cozen O'Connor, Lee Flores focuses on workplace policies, employment contracts, as well as harassment and discrimination prevention policies. K&L Gates recently brought on two new partners in its corporate/M&A practice: David A. Bronner in the Los Angeles office and Todd R. Southwell in Chicago. Southwell previously worked at Clark Hill, while Bronner comes from Nixon Peabody. Both focus on mergers and acquisitions as well as private equity and venture capital investments. Foley & Lardner recently brought on Ashley McDow as a partner in the Los Angeles office. Formerly at Baker Hostetler, McDow will focus on bankruptcy and commercial law in the Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations practice. Geoffrey M. Ossias joins Perkins Coie as a partner and Head of Arizona Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) practice. Previously at DLA Piper, Ossias will split his time between the Phoenix and Palo Alto offices. East Bay firm Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP has named Daniel Rapaport its new managing partner. He will succeed Richard Waxman. Rapaport is one of the firm’s senior litigators, and has represents individuals in complex estate and trust disputes. John Scheerer and Arevik Stepanyan recently joined Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise as associates in the Los Angeles office. Previously at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Stepanyan focuses on employment discrimination and negotiations. Scheerer joins from Hueston Hennigan.
