On the Move: Tracking the Ins and Outs of California Lawyers

Peckar & Abramson promoted Nathan Cohen to partner. Cohen focuses his practice on construction law and commercial litigation matters. Previously, he was a senior associate.

Jon Feldhammer joined Baker Botts as partner in the tax practice. Feldhammer represents businesses and individuals in tax disputes. He previously was a partner at Perkins Coie, and will be based in the San Francisco office.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton brought on Elizabeth Frohlich as a partner in the business trial practice. Frohlich has experience representing banks and securities broker-dealers in civil and criminal actions. Previously, she was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. She is based in San Francisco.

Hunt Ortmann Palffy Nieves Darling & Mah promoted Aaron Flores to shareholder in the construction disputes and litigation practice. The firm also brought on Sander Alvarez as senior counsel in the insurance practice. Alvarez previously was a senior litigation attorney at Aiwasian & Associates. Both attorneys are based in Pasadena.

Suzy Lee joined Fisher & Phillips as an associate at the labor and employment firm. Lee’s practice focuses on complex wage-and-hour class actions. Previously, she was at Capstone Law.

Retired San Diego County Superior Court Judge Joan Lewis joined Judicate West’s roster of neutrals. As judge, Lewis spent five years in family law and presided over a civil independent calendar for 15 years until her retirement from the state bench. She will be based in the San Diego office.

DLA Piper brought on Daniel Robyn as partner in the tax practice. Previously, he was a partner at Baker McKenzie. Robyn will split time between the Los Angeles and Northern California offices.

Seyfarth Shaw promoted seven attorneys to partner in California: Labor and employment attorneys Chantelle Egan and Simon Yang, litigation attorneys Aaron Belzer, Kathleen McConnell and Ryan Pinkston, and real estate attorneys Christine Kim and Galina Krivitsky. Egan, McConnell, and Pinkston are based in San Francisco. Yang, Barton, Kim and Krivitsky are based in Los Angeles.

Jackson Lewis named Lisa Sween as office managing principal in the San Francisco office. She represents employers in employment law and litigation. Sween succeeds Fraser McAlpine.
