Meyner and Landis Names McCarthy Equity Partner

Joseph R. McCarthy[/caption] Meyner and Landis in Newark has named Joseph R. McCarthy an equity partner. He joined the firm as an associate in 2012. He graduated from New York Law School in 2003 and Rowan University in 1999, where he received a B.A. in political science. McCarthy is a partner with the firm’s litigation group, where he concentrates in creditors’ rights, banking and commercial real estate. He is an experienced commercial litigator who represents private and institutional clients in a wide range of litigation matters in state and federal courts, including mortgage foreclosures, bankruptcy, workouts, lender liability actions, construction disputes, and real estate disputes. McCarthy is also a transactional attorney who represents clients in complex commercial real estate and business transactions.

Iman Wells[/caption] The firm also brought on Iman Wells as an associate. Wells’ practice focuses on the defense of management in employment-related disputes. Prior to joining Nukk-Freeman & Cerra, Iman worked at Verizon as an ADA compliance consultant and was law clerk to Superior Court Judge Bahir Kamil in the Criminal Part. At Nukk-Freeman & Cerra, Wells counsels employers on employee handbooks, policies, performance improvement plans, disciplinary materials, and separation agreements and releases, with a focus on avoiding liability and preventing litigation. She received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University. Fox Rothschild Adds Heller in Morristown

Lindsay A. Heller[/caption] Lindsay A. Heller has joined the Morristown office of Fox Rothschild as an associate. She represents clients in complex matrimonial matters, non-dissolution matters, divorce, custody and child support, equitable distribution and support, premarital agreements and domestic violence issues. She was previously an associate at Ceconi & Cheifetz. Heller volunteers for Unchained At Last, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women and girls leave or avoid arranged or forced marriages. There, she represents a client seeking a divorce from a forced marriage. Additionally, she works with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, assisting litigants with navigating the divorce process and preparing post-judgement pleadings for child support modifications. She graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D., 2012), and from Rutgers University (B.A., 2009). She was law clerk to Union County Superior Court Judge Thomas J.
