Mr. Metjahic joins from McGuireWoods, where he was a partner. Dr. Zagar was previously a partner with Blank Rome. Ms. Emerson joins from Baker Botts, where she was an associate. Phillips Nizer has added Christian Hylton, the former legislative attorney and acting general counsel to the NYC Council’s Land Use Division, as a partner. He joins from Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Nahins & Goidel. Paul J. Bottari has joined Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith as a partner with the firm’s trial team. Before joining, he was with Wilson Elser. Katten Muchin Rosenman has hired Shan A. Haider as a partner in the firm’s structured finance and securitization practice. He was previously counsel at Perkins Coie. Aviation finance lawyer Terry Sanders has joined Hughes Hubbard & Reed as a partner. He joins from Clifford Chance. Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney has hired Richard DiStefano as a shareholder in its corporate section. He joins the firm from Blank Rome. Hunton & Williams has added Jill Hayman as special counsel in the firm’s real estate development and finance practice. She was previously managing director in the legal department of Morgan Stanley. Windels Marx has hired Lynn Weinig as special counsel, focusing on real estate and corporate related matters. Formerly, she was with Wormser Kiely Galef & Jacobs. Phillips Nizer has added litigator Jeffrey Q. Smith as special counsel to the firm. He joins from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Proskauer Rose has promoted Ehud Barak, Chantel Febus, Malcolm Hochenberg, Vincent Indelicato and Frank Saviano to partner. The firm also promoted Nathaniel Birdsall, Anthony Cacace, Daniel Forman, Daniel Hendrick and Rachel Philion to special counsel. Walden Macht & Haran has added Jacob S. Gardener as an associate. He joins the firm having completed a clerkship with the Honorable Dennis Jacobs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Kimberly B. Timko and Samir Ahuja have joined Blank Rome as associates in the firm’s finance, restructuring and bankruptcy group. Ms. Timko comes to the firm from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. Mr. Ahuja joins from Ashurst.
